WooCommerce Connector

Overview

The WooCommerce QuickRelease Connector is a WordPress plugin that links a WooCommerce shop to your QuickRelease account. It lets you sell flight seats (and optionally gift vouchers) online, and keeps everything in sync with QuickRelease automatically:

  • Flights become products. On a schedule, the plugin reads your active flights from QuickRelease and creates or updates a WooCommerce product for each one — with the right price, category, featured image and available seats.
  • Orders become bookings. When a customer pays, the plugin sends the booking (with the passenger details collected at checkout) straight into QuickRelease.
  • Vouchers (optional). Sell gift vouchers that are created in QuickRelease on purchase, and let customers redeem a voucher code at checkout.

One WordPress site connects to one QuickRelease account.

What it does

Flight import

Every 5–60 minutes (you choose), the plugin fetches your active flights and upserts a product per flight, keyed by the flight’s ID:

  • Price comes from a numeric QuickRelease tag on the flight, or a default price you set. A price you change by hand in WooCommerce is never overwritten on the next sync.
  • Categories are created from the flight’s region and from text tags.
  • Featured image is taken from a per-region image, or a default image.
  • Available seats map to WooCommerce stock; sold-out flights can show a suffix, go out-of-stock, or be hidden — your choice.
  • Flights whose date has passed are automatically set to draft.

Passenger details at checkout

For each seat in the cart, the checkout asks for the passenger details you enable (name, e-mail, date of birth, weight, and optionally city/phone). This works on both the classic checkout and the newer block-based checkout. The answers are stored on the order and sent to QuickRelease with the booking.

Booking push

When an order reaches a status you configure (for example processing or completed), the plugin creates the booking in QuickRelease, including each passenger and the payment details. If the booking cannot be created, the order is moved to a status of your choice (default on-hold) and a notification e-mail is sent — nothing is silently lost, and the push can be retried without creating a duplicate.

Gift vouchers (optional)

  • Sell vouchers: mark a product (or category) as a voucher; buying it creates a voucher in QuickRelease with a unique reference.
  • Redeem vouchers: customers can enter a voucher code at checkout; the plugin validates it against QuickRelease and records it as the payment for the booking.

For administrators

Each order shows a QuickRelease panel with the booking ID, status and a direct link to the booking in QuickRelease. Optionally, you can manually assign or detach a booking to/from a flight from the order screen.

Compatibility

  • WordPress 6.4+ and WooCommerce 8.9+ (tested up to WooCommerce 9.4).
  • PHP 8.1–8.3.
  • Compatible with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS) and the block-based checkout.
  • Works with or without a multilingual plugin (WPML/Polylang are optional).
  • All traffic to QuickRelease uses verified HTTPS. Diagnostic logging is off by default and never writes customer data to publicly accessible files.

Privacy & monitoring

Passenger and contact data are sent only to QuickRelease, over verified HTTPS, to create the booking. When diagnostic logging is enabled it is written to the WooCommerce logs with personal data masked. Optionally, a Sentry DSN can be configured so technical errors are reported to your Sentry project (also with personal data masked).
