Duplicate Bookings
How duplicates are detected
Quick Release compares every open booking (status open, added, invited or confirmed) against the others of your organisation:
- Email address — the primary check: two open bookings with the same email address are flagged.
- Phone number — for bookings without an email address (typically taken by phone), the phone number is compared instead. The notation does not matter: spaces, dots or slashes, and
+32,32or0032prefixes are all treated as the same number.
Completed or cancelled bookings are never flagged.
What you see
In the booking list a warning icon appears on both bookings:
- Yellow — the possible duplicate is not on a flight yet.
- Red — the possible duplicate is already on a flight; check before double-booking the customer.
The warning is informational only — nothing is blocked or changed automatically. Shared numbers (a company switchboard, one household) can occasionally flag two genuinely different customers; simply ignore the warning in that case.
Merging duplicates
Open one of the flagged bookings and click the Merge button. Pick the other booking, choose which details to keep, and the two are combined into one. The merged-away booking is removed from the lists but its history stays attached.
