Bulk Actions on Flights
Overview
With bulk actions you change many flights at once instead of one by one. A typical use: you enter next season’s flights early, but only want the first month to be bookable. Select the other months and make them private in a single action, then make them public again month by month when you’re ready.
Bulk actions are available to the Owner and Operator roles, on a desktop or laptop screen.
Navigation
Flights → Upcoming tab → button Bulk action at the top of the list.
How to use it
- Open bulk mode. Click Bulk action at the top of the flight list. A checkbox column and a bulk bar appear. Click the button again (✕) to close bulk mode; this also clears your selection.
- Filter the list to the flights you want: search, date range filter, tags or free spots. For example, set the date range filter to May 2027.
- Select the flights.
- Tick individual flights, or
- use the checkbox in the column header (or Select all matching flights in the bulk bar) to select every flight that matches your filter, including the ones you haven’t scrolled to yet.
- Choose action → Make private (or Make public).
- Check the confirmation. It shows the period of the selected flights, how many will change, and how many already have that setting. Click Apply to confirm.
- Review the result. You see how many flights changed, how many were unchanged and, if any were skipped, which ones and why.
Up to 100 flights at a time
A bulk action changes at most 100 flights. When more flights match your filter, nothing is selected and Quick Release asks you to narrow the filter. Narrow down the search, the date range or the tag filter, for example one month at a time, and repeat.
Changing the search, date range, tags, free spots or tab clears the selection. A bulk action therefore never touches flights that are no longer in your filtered list.
What “private” means
| Visibility | Booking page (passengers) | Your website (Quick Release plugin / API) | Quick Release flight list |
|---|---|---|---|
| Public | offered | shown | shown |
| Private | not offered | not shown | shown (eye icon crossed out) |
Making a flight private does not change bookings already on that flight. It only stops new passengers from choosing it. No messages are sent to passengers or crew by any bulk action.
Undo
Every bulk action can be undone once, within 24 hours:
- directly with Undo in the result window, or
- via the history icon (🕘) in the bulk bar, which lists the bulk actions of the last 24 hours, who did them and when. Open one to see its result and undo it.
Undo restores each flight to exactly the setting it had before. Flights that someone changed after the bulk action, for example when you made one public again by hand, are left alone and listed as changed since, not undone.
