Duplicate Flight Booking Prevention#

We’ve introduced a new safety measure to prevent bookings on flights with the same balloon. If a balloon is already been used on a flight on the same date and time period, AND the other flight already accepted bookings, the system will automatically block bookings on the flight.

• What passengers will see: Blocked flights will display as “fully booked” in the flight picker, and the booking option will be hidden in the flight details with a clear warning message.
• What your website will see: Blocked flights will display as “fully booked”.
• What you will see: Blocked flights will not allow you to add passengers. A warning message will be shown: Balloon cannot accept passengers. We recommend to delete the flight or make it invisible.

Why this matters#

This helps avoid overbooking and ensures a smooth experience for all customers.

This also allows you to plan flights from multiple locations with the same balloon. The first flight that receives bookings, will immediately block all other flights planned with the same balloon, date and time period from accepting new bookings.
