Custom Passenger Text

What is it?

This new feature allows operators to personalize the text passengers see in the UP web app. You can now add your own translations or revert to the standard system translations for various parts of the application. This includes the ability to add a custom policy text that will be displayed at the top of your pages.

How to access it?

To begin, you’ll need to generate an API key in settings of Quick Release. Once you have your API key, navigate to the settings page and select “UP settings > Translations”. Click the button to activate the translation modus. While in this mode, you can browse the app as a passenger would.

Look for the icon build_circle next to any text you wish to modify. Clicking this icon will open an editor where you can make your changes.

When you’re finished, simply click the red “End Translate Modus” button in the navigation bar to save your changes and exit.

Nice to know

  • Your custom translations support Markdown, allowing for rich text formatting like bold, italics, and lists. For security, the system will block any unsafe links or scripts.
  • If you need to change translations for different languages, you can easily switch the booking language to access the relevant translation strings.
  • The edit icons will only appear when a valid API key is active, ensuring that only authorized personnel can make changes.
