Log in with an email link
Forgot your password? Just ask for a link
You no longer need to remember a password to log in to Quick Release. On the login screen, enter your operator name and email address and click Email me a login link.
Within a minute you receive an email with a Log in button. Click it and you are logged in, without entering a password.
- The link works once and expires after a short time. Need a new one? Simply request another link.
- You stay logged in on that device, just like after a normal login.
- Opened the link on another device (e.g. your phone)? Quick Release asks you to confirm your email address once.
- Requested the link in one tab and opened it in another? The first tab shows You’re signed in. Close it, or click Continue here.
Your password keeps working as before. The login link is an extra option.
Works with two-factor authentication
Opening the link proves you have access to your mailbox, just like the 6-digit security code does. So with two-factor authentication enabled, you won’t be asked for an extra code. The device is trusted for 60 days, as usual.
Emails in your own name
The login-link and Forgot password emails are now sent from your own sender address (the one set in your email settings) and mention your operator name. They are written in the language of the user, so crew members recognise who the email is from and are less likely to find it in their spam folder.
No action needed: this works automatically for all operators and all users.
