A Brand-New quickrelease.aero — And a Hidden Surprise

A special announcement#

This one is a little different. No new buttons in your admin, no settings to configure — this time the news is quickrelease.aero itself. The public website has been rebuilt from the ground up, and we’re proud enough of it to give it its own release note.

Where would your balloon fly?#

The centrepiece of the new homepage is a live flyability map of Europe:

• Pick a flight moment — today, tomorrow or the day after, morning or evening.
• Click anywhere on the map (or share your location) and watch the balloon trajectory animate from that exact spot.
• Get an honest verdict — good to fly, doubtful or probably not — backed by six weather tiles: surface wind, wind at altitude, gusts, precipitation, low clouds and visibility.
• Every moment chip carries a coloured dot, so you compare all six upcoming slots at a glance.

It runs on the same weather data and flight logic you use every day in Quick Release — now anyone can see a taste of what powers your planning.

The rest of the new site#

• A clear tour of the platform: bookings, weather, lift calculation, crew and passenger communication.
• Available in five languages: Dutch, English, French, German and Spanish.
• Transparent pricing and a free trial signup, so recommending Quick Release to a fellow balloonist is now as easy as sending one link.

Somewhere on the new website, we hid a little easter egg — made especially for real balloonists. We won’t say what it is, and we certainly won’t say where it is. But we’ll give you exactly one hint:
