Passenger Online Check-in
Know who’s ready before flight day
Until now, confirming that passengers had read your safety instructions only happened on-site, moments before takeoff — too late to act on missing or incomplete passenger data. Online check-in moves that confirmation into MyFlight, days before the flight.
A tiered setting, your choice
Go to Settings → MyFlight → Check-in and pick one of three tiers:
- No check-in — unchanged, current behavior.
- PDF check-in (manual) — same on-site signature sheet as today, with your instructions text now editable from settings.
- PDF + online check-in — passengers also check in themselves from MyFlight before the flight.
With the online tier, choose how many days before the flight check-in opens (1–14, default 3) and how passengers are notified — email, WhatsApp, or both.
What passengers see
From the check-in window, MyFlight shows a Check-in now button. Tapping it displays your instructions (editable rich text, pre-loaded with a default based on the EASA BOP.BAS.115 passenger briefing items) and a confirmation checkbox. Once confirmed, the booking is locked for editing — the same as when a flight moves to “ready”.
What you see
Check-in status is now visible wherever you already track passengers: a badge on the flight card, a counter in the flight list, a status icon per booking in the flight detail, and a check-in column on the printed passenger manifest.
⚠️ Test before rolling out to all passengers. Once a passenger checks in online, their booking is locked and can no longer be edited in MyFlight. Before switching a tenant to the online tier:
- Review and adjust your check-in instructions text — the pre-loaded default is a starting point, not a final text.
- Try it on one upcoming flight first, and confirm the notification (email/WhatsApp), the check-in flow, and the locked state all behave as expected.
- Only then enable it broadly for all flights.
Happy flights!
